DBA Lab S.p.A. has signed the contract with MIUR for the construction of a digital prototype for decision support in the program regarding Smart City, in line with EU Directive 2010/65 / EU.
The project was awarded to a partnership of co-signing industrial companies (Vitrociset, Dba Lab, IB, Lucana Sistemi) and scientific partners such as the Institute for High Performance Computing and Networking (ICAR) of the National Research Council (Cnr) of Naples, the University of Trieste and the Polytechnic of Bari, coordinated by Matteo Apollonio of Dba Lab SpA. The total amount is Euro 7,536 million.
The project, named with the acronym ASMARA, will therefore have to support the various levels of both real-time and medium-term planning related to the management of the flows of goods between the logistic nodes of the port system (docks, interport, port, airport). The logistic system of the port insinuates itself in the traffic flows of the city and contributes to the critical issue of the population life quality: this aspect describes the deep motivation of the EU directive and of the MIUR project. The prototype will be developed initially in the port of Bari.
