FAO: NEW MUSEUM PROJECT IN ROME
DBA awarded the design of the new FAO Museum in Rome. To mark the 80th anniversary of its founding, the FAO – the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization – will open a new museum inside its Rome headquarters. The project, called the Food and Agriculture Museum & Network, has been entrusted to DBA Group, which will manage the design and the entire construction process.
As reported by Il Sole 24 Ore in an interview with Daniele De Bettin, President of DBA Group, the assignment includes technical design review, supervision and verification of all construction phases, and final commissioning.
Covering an exhibition space of approximately 1,500 square meters, the museum will feature an innovative multimedia layout to showcase FAO’s historical and cultural heritage and its role in fighting hunger and promoting sustainable development. Open to both the public and the international community, it will become a space for knowledge, memory, and global dialogue.
