GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW CONTAINER TERMINAL AT THE PORT OF AIN SOKHNA

With the Grand Opening ceremony, the new Ain Sokhna Container Terminal has reached full operational capacity, consolidating a path that began with the soft opening and confirming its status as the country’s first semi-automated port infrastructure.

SJS Engineering, a company of the DBA Group, contributed to the project as engineering consultant, overseeing design activities, civil contract administration, and site supervision.

Operated by Red Sea Container Terminals (Hutchison Ports) in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the terminal represents a strategic hub for trade connectivity between Asia, Africa, and Europe, strengthening Egypt’s role in global maritime routes within the framework of the Vision 2030 objectives.
