DBA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PADUA FOR A DISCUSSION ON THE ENERGY IMPACT OF DATA CENTERS
DBA took part in a meeting focused on the role and energy impact of Data Centers, promoted by the “Giorgio Levi Cases” Centre for Energy Economics and Technology at the University of Padua. Raffaele De Bettin, CEO of DBA Group, participated in the event, contributing to the discussion on a key topic for the development of digital infrastructures.
The dialogue highlighted the importance of integrating Data Centers into local contexts and energy systems from the early stages of planning, enhancing brownfield areas and solutions such as heat recovery. An integrated approach and clear authorization timelines emerged as key elements in transforming Data Centers into active players in the energy transition and strengthening Italy’s role at the European level.
The meeting also provided an important opportunity for exchange with the academic community and students, fostering dialogue between professional experience, research and education on issues that DBA addresses daily in the development of complex infrastructures.
