REC4SMEs: Call Open for the Development of Renewable Energy Communities
DBA has launched a call for expressions of interest to identify initiatives to be supported in the development of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), as part of the European project REC4SMEs.
In a context where rising energy costs are increasingly impacting businesses and local communities, RECs represent an innovative model for the local production and sharing of energy, offering potential economic, environmental, and social benefits.
Through the REC4SMEs project, DBA supports companies, public bodies, and stakeholders interested in developing Renewable Energy Communities by providing technical and organizational assistance throughout the various stages of the initiative’s development.
The call is addressed to:
- Promoters, interested in developing and coordinating new Renewable Energy Communities
- Members, interested in joining and participating in local initiatives
The applications received will be evaluated in order to identify the initiatives with the greatest development potential, which may then access a dedicated support programme within the project.
The process includes an initial phase for collecting expressions of interest, followed by a more in-depth assessment phase for the selected applicants.
Participation is possible by filling in the forms available at the following links:
The REC4SMEs project is part of the broader framework of European initiatives dedicated to the energy transition and the promotion of sustainable models, with a particular focus on the involvement of SMEs and local communities.
