These installations regulate the voltage at grid nodes, particularly for renewable energy plants, which are entitled under regulatory standards to feed the grid even when it is least needed. In addition, these installations improve grid security in case of faults.

The engineering design of the plant included all civil works from the connection terminal in the existing power station to the buildings, equipment towers, transformer foundations, cable ducts and cooling system pipework.
