Feasibility design (technical and economic) developed by DBA for the electrification of the berts of the new Cruise Terminal Pier within the commercial port of La Spezia.
The project involves the development of the electrical engineering solutions for the construction of a new power transformation substation and the related distribution lines serving cruise ships, as well as the connection to the port’s new HV/MV network.
The plant configuration includes two separate conversion and transformation branches dedicated to the electrification of 7 Junction Boxes for the simultaneous power supply of two cruise ships moored at the new Cruise Terminal Pier.
The design activities include the definition of the substation layouts, cable routes, and shore-to-ship connection systems, as well as the integration of the intervention within the complex port and urban context, characterized by significant landscape and functional integration requirements.
Cold Ironing quay electrification projects are developed in BIM, through shared and georeferenced multidisciplinary models that integrate design, coordination and information management. This methodology ensures continuous updating, control of clashes between disciplines and higher quality, while reducing errors and delivery times. The model includes temporal (4D) and cost (5D) dimensions, enabling simulations, cost estimates and information continuity throughout the entire design process.
