Marcolin, an international group and leader in the production and distribution of luxury eyewear, has undertaken a structured digital transformation journey focused on the energy sustainability of its manufacturing plants.
The project involved the Longarone and Fortogna sites, with the goal of achieving a comprehensive and accurate overview of corporate energy consumption and enabling concrete decisions for its reduction. To reach these objectives, Marcolin adopted VIVO, a digital Energy Management System platform designed to meet the needs of complex industrial environments.
Through a real-time monitoring system, VIVO enables the collection, processing, and visualization of energy data from the entire plant infrastructure, providing operators and plant managers with an immediate and reliable understanding of what is happening within production processes.
The implementation of the platform delivered tangible results on multiple levels. Continuous monitoring made it possible to accurately identify areas of energy waste, often invisible without appropriate analytical tools. Based on this data, Marcolin’s team was able to define and implement targeted efficiency measures, translating analysis into concrete and measurable actions. The final outcome is a significant reduction in energy costs, with direct benefits on the company’s competitiveness and environmental footprint.
The project represents a virtuous example of how the digitalization of industrial processes can become a strategic lever for sustainability. Marcolin thus confirms its commitment to a more responsible production model, where technology and resource efficiency move in the same direction.
