Engineering services for site investigation, detailed design, and supervision works are related to the development of the Sokhna container terminal, located in the port of Ain Sokhna (Egypt).

The project includes:

• Demolition and site clearance, including any required manholes or service diversions

• Filling, earthworks, and ground treatment

• Support for crane rails and rail-mounted yard crane structures

• Paved container storage yard, container support beams, quay yard, access roads, and other paved areas

• Railway tracks and connections to external railway lines

• Refrigerated installations

• Substations

• All auxiliary buildings and structures required for the terminal

• Electrical installations and HV, MV, and LV networks

• External HV electrical connections

• Area lighting and high-mast lighting

• Firefighting systems and networks

• Water supply system and distribution network

• Wastewater and stormwater drainage systems

• Infrastructure for CCTV and ICT

• Fencing and gates

• Road signage, markings, and traffic control systems

• Flood protection and environmental mitigation works

• Independent material testing

The SOW also includes the design of the following buildings and structures: administrative building (3,300 sqm – 3 floors); stevedore and mass building (2,500 sqm – 2 floors); workshop and warehouse (3,800 sqm); customs and cashier building (400 sqm); washing area (600 sqm); gatehouse (300 sqm); inspection office (480 sqm); substations (1,050 sqm); fuel tank; battery replacement station; pumping station (800 sqm); railway office; marshalling yard area; staff parking; visitor parking.
