Port of Taranto: Redevelopment of the Molo Polisettoriale of Taranto - Structural investigation of the quay gantry cranes railways
Client: T.C.T. S.p.A.
Following the problems occurred during the crane’s activities, investigations were carried out on the crane rails along the quay.
The engineering services therefore have concerned the execution of:
- HD Topographic surveys of the quay affected by subsidence and misalignment (rail, interlayer, lintels, joints) and identification of the critical points to be inspected in deep;
- Analysis of the data collected and subsequent investigations and measurements of subsidence under loading conditions on the points identified in the first phase.
All the activities carried out allowed terminal operator to schedule extraordinary maintenance in order to restore the operational condition and standards.
